Crown & Bridge Work

Crowns strengthen your teeth

A crown is simply a robust protective cover for a tooth. It completely caps or encircles a tooth and is most commonly bonded using a dental cement. We can produce crowns in a number of different materials and finishes, depending on your individual requirements. Typically, heavily filled teeth which can be prone to chipping and breaking are crowned to protect them. Furthermore, using a white porcelain finish can greatly improve the visual quality of your smile.

How our procedure works

  1. After an initial examination the teeth are prepared, and impressions are taken of the tooth to be crowned.
  2. These impressions are sent to the laboratory where they are prepared and sent back for fitting.

How long do they last?

Although no dental restoration lasts forever, the average life span of a crown is around 10 years but with our preventative care program the life span is significantly enhanced.

Bridges

A bridge is used to replace a missing tooth by joining permanently to adjacent teeth or dental implants. There are different types of bridges, depending on how they are made and the way they anchor to the neighbouring teeth. Everybody’s mouth is different, and we will ensure we choose the right materials and methods which best suit your needs.
